Describe the outcome, hours and timeline in your own words. Within 48 hours of submission RetainedCo introduces up to three professionals whose experience fits the work; each has 48 hours to say whether they are interested, and you choose who to engage. A professional you send a brief to directly has 48 hours from submission to accept or decline, and their rate range is shown to you once the brief is submitted. Professionals RetainedCo introduces show theirs once they say they are interested.

Engagements are billed in Australian dollars with 10% GST added. For engagements up to $5,000 with an agreed timeline that finishes at least 24 hours before the card authorisation expires, your card is authorised when you book and charged when the engagement is confirmed complete. A card authorisation lasts seven days, so larger engagements, engagements with no agreed timeline and longer ones are invoiced through Stripe when delivery is confirmed, payable within ten days. A receipt showing the GST charged follows either way.

The platform fee is 6% of the engagement subtotal, capped at $30 per booking, and is deducted from the professional’s payout. It is not added to your bill.

Some professionals require an optional A$150 deposit hold on bookings of up to two hours. It is forfeited only if you do not attend.

Your profile, rate range and engagement preferences can be edited from the account menu once signed in. Rate ranges never appear publicly. For details you cannot change yourself, write to hello@nomark.au.

RetainedCo operates under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Professional profiles are not public: they can be seen by signed-in buyer accounts RetainedCo has approved, by a firm whose brief the professional has accepted or that RetainedCo introduced them to, by members of a firm whose bench holds them, by the professional themselves, and by RetainedCo; they are not listed for search engines. A brief is visible to the firm that wrote it, to a professional it is addressed to, introduced to or who has accepted it, and to RetainedCo where needed to run the service.
